RISE PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT: The R.I.S.E. (Reach for Integrity, Success and Excellence) intervention program is a partnership between the Butte County Office of Education and several Butte county school districts providing a program tailored to students’ educational and behavioral needs.

R.I.S.E. students will receive their core instruction from one teacher in a classroom with 20 to 1 student-teacher ratio. The prime focus will be on English and mathematics, with additional lessons in life science, world history, and organizational skills. Team building and social skills will be taught throughout every course, as well.

R.I.S.E. students participate with the extended student body for elective courses, P.E., and lunch time. They may also enjoy extracurricular activities according to the school’s student participation guidelines.

Butte County Office of Education also provides enrichment opportunities, parenting support, mentors, tutors, and other services for RISE students on an as needed basis. This extra mentorship is facilitated through the Boys and Girls Club, BOLD program, and Paraprofessionals.
